I walked out of the elevator and turned right towards Serena's apartment. I smiled and knocked on her door. Leave it to Serena to call me twenty minutes after her party started saying that I had to pick her up. I found her door and knocked, "Serena, this is the last time I let you use that 'I'm your best friend' thing. Now get your ass out here."

I sighed as I walked downstairs in my heels, I didnt even want to go to my own party, I don't know where Gavin was, I wasn't even feeling that well and the weather sucked. I opened the door to see Cam "Look would you rather I not go" I said to him as I grabbed my purse "Because I dont even want to go" My birthday and Id rather be sitting at home with a bag of cheesy snacks.. I got that on from my mom that's for sure.

I rolled my eyes. "No, because I'm sure that your mother would be extremely pissed off if you don't show up after she planned this huge event." Serena looked great in her golden dress. It matched her hair and made her whole attitude shimmer. "You look beautiful by the way." I told her as she closed the door behind her. "But, I'm all for making an appearance and then skipping out." I winked with a small laugh. "Now come on." I took her hand and pulled her towards the elevator. I pushed the down button and we waited for the elevator. I looked over my shoulder at Serena. "So, where is your man tonight? I thought he was escorting you to this shin-dig." I told her. I had been confused when she had called me and now she was alone. So, where was Gavin?

I rolled my eyes "Yea I'm sure she would be pissed" I really didn't care if she was though, I mean come on I didn't want a party but she's throwing me one anyways. He commented on how I looked "Thanks Cam" I didn't really like how I looked tonight but whatever. "Good go make your appearance and then skip out.. Ill just skip out" I gave a fake smile. Cam pulled me to the elevator and he said something about Gavin and I rolled my eyes "I don't know where he is... So even more reason to stay home"

I shook my head. "No way, if I'm going then so are you. Your mom practically threatened me." I joked. The elevator door opened and I pulled Serena inside with me. "But, like I said, we only have to make an appearance. Appease your mother." I said with a small laugh. I didn't really care what Carly thought but I knew that Serena would be disappointed later. "Plus, you know, presents." I laughed.
I put my arm around her as the elevator doors opened again. "Gav will show up." I really hoped that I wasn't lying to her, but Gavin was not exactly completely reliable. But, so help him God if he stood up my girl I would beat his ass to a pulp. Damn Morgan.

Cam was practically dragging me into the elevator, Gavin wasn't even around and I didn't want to go I mean come on I'm 18 and want to be with boyfriend.. I love Cam but he wasn't Gavin, he was just my best friend and Im happy to have him.. present..yea those are great but honestly I could do without them. He said Gavin would show up and I looked at him, he was probably going to be lying right there. "Come on Cam just take me and then I can come back here, I don't feel good" probably just the weather

I shook my head and laughed. "That's all I'm asking for." I walked her out of the building and to my car. I opened the passenger side door for her and helped her in. Her dress looked great, but it wasn't exactly practical, or loose. I shut the door when she finally got herself settled. I walked to the driver's side and closed the door before turning the car on. The engine revved loudly and I smiled. I loved this car, an eight-five mustang, and it purred like a baby lion. It was my prized possession. Due mostly the the fact that dad and I had fixed it up together. It had been our project four years ago after I had turned sixteen.
